The Organo Portative
The organ portative appeared about during the twelfth century, but its use is widespread in the thirteenth and fourteenth century, virtually disappearing in the mid-sixteenth century, due to the development and proliferation of other organs. The first data on the presence of the organ in the Peninsula date back to mid-twelfth century. Was very present in the court of the Crown of Aragon, which became known as the coll orgue (organ of the neck) or orgue de mà (hand organ).
